We have a reservation at PO Riverside (room for 5). We have 2 adults, 3 children (9,7,3). We just found out that my sister (adult) will be able to travel with us. I want to do the right thing, but not sure we can change our reservations (checking in on Thursday), but don't want to not include her in our trip. Does anyone know if it's possible to have her stay in the room with us? I know that she wouldn't be able to do the EMH, but would she still be able to use the transportation system? I appreciate any input.

Thanks!

Hi
I was told no more than 5 People can stay in the room at PO Riverside .
You might want to call and ask to be on the safe side.

Due to fire codes, each room has a maximum number allowed and for PORS unfortunately that number is five. The resort could get in ALOT of trouble if more people are discovered in the room. There is no way for her to legally stay in your room and if you are caught letting her stay there illegally, you could be asked to leave. I wouldn't take the chance. Either try to rent two rooms there or maybe get her a room at a value. Besides where would she sleep? No way those rooms would hold six people. Those rooms only have two regular sized beds and a very small trundle bed. No way three people would fit in one of those beds, not even an adult and two kids. You would be very uncomfortable.

One other thing to think about is, if you are planning to use Disney's Magical Express to get from the airport to your resort, no one is allowed on the bus without a voucher. To have a voucher everyone in the room must be listed. Disney will not allow you to put six people on the reservation, so she would also not be allowed on the DME bus.

Using the WDW transportation system is not dependent on staying in a WDW resort. Anyone can use it.

Sorry, but there's no 'legal' way to do it. Disney is very strict about room occupancy limits. You won't be able to put her on the reservation, and you won't be able to use DME or EMH.

Six in a POR room would be uncomfortable to the point of misery, for me, anyway. The beds are only doubles, so they're very small for two people as it is. The resort won't give you a rollaway bed to get around the occupancy limits, so you'd have to bring an Aerobed or something like that.

You could add a room for your sister, or check availability for the cabins at FW, or the family suites at ASM. At least that way everyone would have a bed.
