Is this for any buffet? Does it include places like 'Ohana or Whispering Canyon Cafe? I'm not sure if I'm getting a clear answer from the CM's on the WDWDINE line.

I would like to see an answer too so I will keep this bumped up.......

So I see this $4 extra surcharge goes all the way thorugh November 24th according to this post and the other directions. To all buffets.

I booked the Biergarten for dinner at 6:20 on November 24th, the Saturday after Thanksgiving to avoid the hassles. So, is this information telling me that the dinner used to be $20.99 and now is $24.99 like it is listed on the two main restaurants sites (this one and allears)? The Biergarten is a buffet. My reservation is November 24th. It's a dinner. Or will I be charged $28.99 instead of the posted (on two sites) $24.99?

No panic here - we'll be going - just would like to know.

Now, like anyone else here, we really enjoy certain restaurants at Disney. They are considered a splurge to us, and we enjoy the atmosphere and food.

Having said that, I don't think we'll likely eat at one of the all-you-can-eat restaurants there during this time for an additional $4 unless they are upgrading the buffet/menu accordingly. That's probably a hot-button topic, but I see this as merely a ploy to charge more money for the same service. I'm probably cancelling the ressie we have for Crystal Palace, as I feel I'm being taken on this one.

I'm sorry for the rant, but I wanted to find out more information about this latest upcharge.

Interesting, valid comment - we are on DP do doesn't matter to us but I dido notice that when checking menus etc.

Don't know how things are in other parts of the world but here prices do go up around Christmas time "just cause it's Christmas" - maybe it's the same way at DW?

The rich get rich, and the poor get poor. Good to see the CEOs haven't forgotten their favorite theory. This will easily bring Disney another 20-30K a day across property.

1) I can understand your frustration.
2) I feel the same way about Roger Ogre and his profit vs guests policy.
3) Then I got to thinking.
4) Maybe
. . . atmospheric pressure during holidays causes extra prep work
. . . holidays make the vegetables happier, so they cook slower

NOTE: I hate to think this. I hate to say it out loud. But, maybe it is time to bring back Eisner. I have been very vocal about my dislike for him for many reasons, but at least he cared about the guest. Roger Ogre just wants the profit, and guests-be-darned.
