Leaving for WDW next Saturday :cool1: Just looked at the extended weather forecast for fun. This is what I saw...

WESH...Saturday Nov. 13th 94 degrees chance of t-storms

Accuweather...79 and bright sunshine

WFTV....80 chance of t-storms

Weather.com...77 partly cloudy

A variance of 17 degrees between 94 and 77 and either bright sunshine or t-storms. And yes, I know how Florida weather can be, which is why I ask, why even bother? :rotfl:

Have a great trip, Lisa.

I've found the next day's forecast to be wildly inaccurate.

But a rainy day in WDW is better than a rainy day anywhere else.

It's 57 degrees right now, with a low of 47 degrees.

Come prepared for anything.

....other than snow, sleet and freezing rain.

We dont usually get those.

we leave next saturday too..and I find the same thing. I plan to pack for weather 50's-70's which means capris, pants, tshirts, hoodies, hats and gloves for the girls and medium weight coats. bathing suits too.....and last January we had sleet and some snow in Disney..it was actually really fun..we were practically alone in the MK:banana:

You know I have never been to Disney when it's "cool" -- I've tried, but it never happens. One year, first week of December? 90 everyday, then I tried
1st week of Feburary, 85-90 everyday, last week of October? Just plain hot. I know that's lucky, but I was hoping for mid-70's this trip, even low 70's. So when I saw WESH's 94 prediction I almost fell over, especially since it's only 57 today! Guess we'll just see when we get there. As long as there's no snow, I'm good.

You are right--those forecasts are pretty useless. And it could be they are ALL wrong!!
I guess the question has two parts--why do they bother making them, and why do we bother even looking at them??????

Looking at the accuview forcast for next week, I love their descriptions....apparently there's only one degree difference between "sunny and nice" and "sunny and pleasant". Five degrees lower then that just gets you "sunny" but three degrees gets a "bright sun" .....oh how shall I sort it all out next week :thumbsup2:lmao:

P.S. It's been raining here for more then 72 hours, the animals are forming pairs and I think my neighbor just attached an outboard motor to his SUV.....I'll take partly sunny at whatever temperature i can get at this point!

Speaking as the friendly neighborhood podcast board meteorologist, I can tell you that there's a significant difference in the models going out to the end of next week at the moment, which is not unusual for this time of year.

That said, I can't find anything to suggest 94 makes any sense given the general pattern. I'm curious where WESH was looking at to come up with that number. Highs in the mid 70s to near 80 looks like a better bet to me.
