Extended Magic Hours question

We are leaving for WDW on Tuesday 9-27-05 and want to know if I have to keep up with my children's id for our hotel to stay for the extended hours? We have hardly ever been asked for our resort id for the early entry hours but now I am reading that you have to show you resort id to get the bracelets for the night time extra hours? We usually don't have theirs since they can't stay in the resort themselves we just bring their ticket. Has anyone just returned that can tell me if it is mandatory to have theirs with us? Is WDW that picky at night or is it okay as long as my husband and I have ours? Please help if you can?

I had to show both room keys when my son and I were there last April.

I tried just showing one to see what would happen. Each time I was told they needed to see my son's key as well.

Thanks so much even though that is crazy. It is not like kids can be off site by themselves. That is just one more thing to keep up with. Thanks for letting me know!!
