We are going in June and planning on doing the deluxe extended hours at MK. For those who have went, how were the wait times? (Especially SDMT.)

Thanks!

we are going in July and I am really interested in the replies to this as well. We upgraded to a deluxe so we could attend the extended hours.

SDMT had a 60-75 minute wait on the app through the extended hours this werk. We didn't try to ride it because we had no desire to wait in it if that time was actual. But we checked repeatedly and even at midnight it still said an hour

We got in line for HM at 1055. When we got off we were heading to 7d. I looked at pp and noticed it looked about walk on so we went through that then went to 7d. I don’t remember what the posted time was but we waited about 20 minutes. We got in line I would say around 1130, maybe a little later. I have a picture from in front of the castle at 1203. So we did hm, pp, and 7d in about an hour.

Then we hit the restroom, rode buzz, space, and btm. When we were walking off btm it was 1245. We could’ve made another ride somewhere but were tired so just slowly headed out. Was on a bus at 106.

We just did extended hours this past Tuesday and it was awesome. Spring break crowds were in full swing and it was SO nice to be able to walk normally through the park. We got to the park around 10:15-10:30 pm after closing out the Studios and went to Haunted Mansion at 10:45 pm which was a walk on. By the time we got out, extended hours had started and we went to Pirates (walk on), Big Thunder (12 minute wait) stopped at the Frontierland shooting gallery which was empty, then went to Peter Pan (14 minute wait), Tomorrowland Speedway (walk on) and then went to Seven Dwarfs about 12:35 pm. I had been timing and submitting wait times to Touring Plans just to see but I forgot to stop my stopwatch when we got on the ride. I do know that we were off Seven Dwarfs at 12:54 am because a woman behind us yelled “6 minutes left!” when we exited the ride and her entire family ran back in the Seven Dwarfs line. We ran over to Winnie the Pooh instead because we hadn’t ridden yet and were the only ones in line. When we got off of Winnie the Pooh I remembered my stopwatch and it had been 26 minutes since we got in line at Seven Dwarfs and that included the time it took to ride both that and Pooh. Now extended hours were 11pm-1am this week which may have deterred some people. We were exhausted by the end of it but it was so worth it! We stopped for a few pictures on the way out, got a bus relatively quickly and were back at the Beach Club by 1:45 am.

We are staying at the Beach Club the day of MK extended hours. So everything was really easy? I’ve always stayed at MK resorts so I’m a little nervous getting back to BC 😂. I probably shouldn’t be, but we are really going to be pushing it with our 5 year old

We also did them on Tuesday, and they were amazing!! We arrived around 8, and it was the perfect time for us. We started with the Tiki Room and worked our way around over the evening towards future world. Lots of people were lined up for the fireworks, so that helped crowds, then after fireworks it thinned out, and finally by 11, it felt like we had the park to ourselves. We had done all of the riding and more than we hoped for, plus we even got to pleasantly look in the shops down Main Street. We left around 12:30 - we kind of felt like we should stay and do something else with the remaining time, but decided it had been a perfect night so we left on a high note.

I can’t answer specifically about Mine Train because we used most of the time bouncing around the tea cups and dumbo and barnstormer type attractions.

When we left, the bus line for the boardwalk was fairly long and there was a bus just leaving. But there was a bus for BC/YC that wasn’t quite full and was loading. We jumped in that line, got on last and got the last seats (so nobody was standing to give you an idea of how uncrowded it was), and it left. Pleasant ride back and short walk back to the room.

These pictures are from midnight. By the time we took some castle pictures and walked through the shops and were leaving, crowds were even more thinned.

It was very smooth! We had a great experience with buses all week at the Beach Club with minimal waits to MK and AK. After extended hours we actually had just missed the Beach Club bus (we saw it at the corral as we were walking up but we’re just too tired to run for it) and were standing by ourselves at the Beach Club stop. The Boardwalk bus driver saw us standing there and waved us over and just added a Yacht Club stop on his route which was very much appreciated!

There were a bunch of little ones there! Most had more energy than I did at 1 am. 😆

We stayed at yc a couple weeks ago. Yes, it was easy. I’m pretty sure we walked on a bus if I remember correctly. We did have to stand but it left right away. I remember looking at the clock when we left MK and it said 106.

The posted times are not accurate. We did 7DMT at about 12:45 and we’re off in 20 minutes even though the wait said about 45 at that point. We didn’t do Space Mountain because we had a lightning lane but we did pretty much every other ride in Fantasyland as walk on and 15 minutes for PPF

We did it the week before Presidents day week. Didn't bother with 7dmt but everything else we did (Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan) were walk-ons.

Agreed that wait times weren't accurate. Our hours were I think 9 pm to 11 pm. at 10:30ish space mountain had a posted 50 minute wait. It was a walk on and we rode it twice. (Actually did an old fashioned rider switch since my youngest daughter wasn't tall enough, so one team went on buzz while the other team went on space moutnain and then switched). Both were walk ons, Buzz actually took longer than space mountain because I guess the ride is longer.

We did it in March. Extra hours were 11-1am. Lines were practically non-existent, especially after 12am. Basically all walk ons then.

Yes, the headliners are probably better to leave to the second half of EEH but they will likely have short waits!

Epcot was a bit tougher. Mostly because the walk time and fewer rides means less opportunities. I think we did 4 Epcot rides and at least double that at MK!

We walked on to 7DMT last week just after 11 pm, and then PP after that. We didn't wait for more than a couple of ride vehicles at either ride. Posted time was an hour for 7DMT, and I think around 40 minutes for PP. We did notice that there was a bit of a line at both rides when we came off, but the backup point seemed to be the band-scanning to get into the ride queue, not the ride capacity itself.

One note: Splash does not do extended hours. We had a G+ earlier in the day, but it went down and stayed down for several hours. It finally came back up sometime after 10 pm, but was showing a long-ish wait, so we decided to use our G+ for BTMR instead and come back to ride Splash just before leaving, since we didn't really want to walk around wet at that hour. That was a mistake; when we came back around 11:30, the ride was still running, but the line was closed. :-(

After that we left. I felt a bit like we were "wasting" the extended hours, but it had been a very long, crowded day, and we had to get up fairly early to catch our flight home. The two rides we did do would have easily cost us a couple of hours of wait time earlier in the day though, so it really wasn't a waste at all. It meant that we could concentrate on rides with relatively shorter waits earlier in the day, knock off the high-demand rides quickly after EE started, and still get a relatively decent night's sleep!
