Extended Evening Hours - still just Deluxe and Villas?

I know Disney's website still lists them as just for guests in Deluxe and Villa Resorts, but a friend of mine recently stayed at Pop and was allowed to take advantage of them and was never questioned. I had posted a pondering on FB if now that LLPP is open to all I should just downgrade from a Deluxe and just budget for those and Epcot AH and not worry about EEH. She said they had no issues using them while at Pop and didn't know they were restricted.

Did she just get a lucky glitch or has it quietly changed but no one really knows?

As far as I know, it is still just Deluxe only.

MB is scanned at each attraction.
I think that is "supposed to be scanned" :)

When we did Epcot they did not scan us. Now it may have been because we didn't get into the park until later? We just did two rides, 1 which required a VQ so obviously that was tied to MDE but we also did Test Track.

Well if that's the case and word gets out that you can stay value and sneak into deluxe EEH attractions then that's one more thing that will be ruined by selfishness.

It is still deluxe only. You will not be forced to leave the park, however once the park officially closes, at the attraction entrances they will scan your MB to make sure you are a guest at a deluxe (or qualifying) resort. We were scanned at each attraction at both the MK and Epcot. If you just want to stay and wander around, you can, it's not like a party night where you are asked to leave. I doubt they were able to actually take advantage of evening extra magic hours and ride attractions - I can see maybe slipping by and getting on one attraction for one night, but not multiple. All Disney resorts qualify for early entry in the morning, regardless of tier.

Should this be "if LLPP is open" instead of "if now that LLPP is open"

They may have changed it but I thought LLPP was only for Deluxe/DVC?

Thanks grammar police.

It actually should have been "if, now that LLPP is open" since it's open to all now.

Also, Disney Transportation to value & moderate will stop well before deluxe for EEH; if somebody tries to sneak into EEH, they may realize that they're out of luck when they can't get back to their resort hotel.

A few weeks ago, I did EEH at DAK until the end, and the bus stops were only active at deluxe resorts.

We were staying deluxe at VGF but it was late so that may have been why they didn't scan us. It was like 12:15 am when EEH were from 11 pm to 1 am.

Oh I wasn't thinking you were staying anywhere other than deluxe/villa I was just saying that if the wrong people start telling people oh here is a hack for you then its ruined for those that are actually willing to stay where they need to stay to get the perk and Disney will then just get rid of it.

Or Disney will just better train its CM’s about making sure to scan magic bands.

Did Extended evening hours in Oct, Epcot and AK, and were scanned before rides every time. Unless maybe it was like you were repeating a ride one after the other, like my DS did with Dinosaur, rode 10 times, and they recognized him. I'll check and see if they scanned him every time, but DD and I were scanned everywhere we rode.
