We'll be staying at VB for the first time soon and we are going to make the drive to Epcot for one day. Just wondering if staying at VB entitles us to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours?

Thanks.

I would think no, you are supposed to show your WDW resort ID to get the wrist band. If you are going to be there anyway, give it a try.

Good luck and have a great trip.

I'm also sure the answer is no. EMH are for WDW resort guests. As a VB guest, you're not a WDW guest and I assume would be similar to any other off-site resort.

When you check-in at VB you might ask to see if they know or not.

If you go over to WDW, for EMH, before they give you the band, they scan your room key card. So the card probably has codes that state the resort you're at and the dates of stay.

The CM's giving out the wrist bands probably don't know themselves if you're eligible. You might just explain to them you're staying at Vero Beach and didn't know if you're eligible EMH or not, and just have them scan your room card and see what happens. The computer will either accept it or it won't.

Also, don't forget, for EMH everyone must have their own room key card to get a wrist band, so just in case it does work, make sure everyone brought their cards.

That's why at WDW resorts, everyone in the room gets a card, including the children.

Was at Vero Beach middle of October. Got extra magic hours, free parking, and could charge to my room key.

We often spend a few hours at at WDW park after leaving VB but before flying home. They always honor our parking pass with no questions asked at all.

I would assume your room key would be just fine too, after all it is a WDW room key.

You can also charge to your room key even after they check out, (we left our CC in the car one day after check out and only had the room key.) It was fine, they just charged it to our CC later. :goodvibes

Wonderful! I was hoping that we would be able to take advantage of EMH, and felt it reasonable that Disney would accomodate their VB guests. Now I know for sure.

Thanks.

I don't think they are suppose to honor the EMH with a VB key card but they do. As long as they see it is a resort key with the correct dates they stop looking at the name of the resort.

But the device they put the card through to give you a bracelet wouldn't honor the card if it wasn't supposed to. It's not up to the CM.

We wouldn't be able to drive back to VB after a late night in Orlando! Good for you who can make it!

I'm kind of suprised that this works. Thought I read something recently (from Disney or maybe the DIS) that said that staying at HH or VB does not entitle guest to WDW dvc perks such as pool hopping. But hey, if you can make it work for you, go for it!
