I use the 12 x 12--in fact, I've never bought a 12 x 24 one, but then again, I don't make a lot of big stuff! I usually get them at Walmart, since Jo's, M's, ACM OR HL will not let me use a coupon on them!

I always use the 12x12. I don't own the 12x24 mat. I get my mats at JoAnns because they'll let me use a coupon on them.

I use the 12 by 12 - I get them at various places depending on who has the best sale/ or if I need a bit more in an online order for free shipping.

I tend to use the 12 x 24 the most because much of the Expression work I do is for bulletin boards etc... When I have that much to cut at one time, the longer mat works perfectly. For my scrapbooks, the 12 x 12 seems great.
Have to agree with others that I buy mine on Joann's.com site when I can use coupons.

Used to buy my 12 x 12 mats at Js when I could use a coupon (our Js is ok that way) or they were on 40% off sale, but got them cheaper on Amazon. Their mats were $11 a set, and were part of a "buy 3 get 1" free promo. So, got four sets for $33 delivered and no tax. And they came right from Amazon - not a third-party seller. It looks like that isn't happening right now, but could be back sometime...

I do have one package of 12 x 24 mats, (have had them for months) but haven't used them yet. We run our baby bug a lot too, so use 6 x12 ones too. We reuse all of our mats a lot, spraying repositionable adhesive on them when the original tackiness goes away. They last a long time!

I have never used the 12x24 that I HAD to have. I use the 12x12 all the time, I feel sometimes like I go through a lot of them.

I use 12x12 more often, but I do use my 12x24 too. The 12x12 for regular use. The 12x24 for party decorations, treat/gift bags and large projects -- tags for 3 kids for disney autographs, class projects, ribbons for swim team etc.

I look for a good sale with free shipping on-line. Last year, I ordered a year's worth from custom crops.com in November. THis year only the 12x12 mats were on sale, so i will get my 12x24 mats at J's with a coupon.

THe problem for me has been the 12x24 paper. I can't find it in my J's, coupons are excluded at M's and ACM so I honestly don't know if they carry it anymore. It wasn't on sale at custom crops so I didn't order it. OhMyCrafts.com has a great selection of 12x24 paper but the shipping is OUTRAGEOUS!!! I keep checking for a free shipping sale, but it never seems to be in conjunction with the paper sale.

I was thinking about, for swap stuff, putting 2 12x12 sheets of paper on the bigger mat, and using CDS to lay things out to avoid the break. I was wondering if anyone else did that, but it doesn't sound like it.

I did the same thing! I needed a new mat(emergency-in the middle of a swap-lol), could only find the huge ones, so I just cut them in half.
