most hotels the check in time is mid afternoon, do I register and get the passes and then check in during the afternoon?
Yes and no. You can check in early, but you will not have to return to the desk to check in again in the afternoon.
At Universal, you can check in as early as you want. They will give you your hotel keys, which are also your passes into the express line.
You give Loews your cell phone # and head out to the parks. Usually they will give you a call when your room is ready. Sometimes you have to call them, but they are pretty good at calling.
At that point, if they haven't already, they will give you your room number and the keys will be activated. You do not have to stop at the desk again. Just go to your room and call the bellhop to bring up your luggage.
On check-out, use your preferred method for checking out. We always do it via the TV. If you have luggage, you can once again store it.
Keep your room key cards and head out to the parks again. The key cards are good until the parks close that night.
If you are a loewsfirst member, you can return to the hotel and use the gym facilities to shower, change and get ready to leave. The facilities are well equipped with shampoos, soaps, etc.
