Express Plus Pass

Ok, now I've read about the US Express Plus Pass, where you upgrade your regular ticket to get FOTL one time only on each ride during the day......questions:

1) How much?
2) If I buy discount tickets at home thru AAA, can I still upgrade?

I bought an Express Plus Pass in July for $25. You can buy the Express pass in the park, so if your ticket got you into the park, you can buy the Express pass.
