Express Passes

Am I correct to assume that the purchase Express Plus passes work the exact same way as the Front of the line Express passes given to onsite hotel guests? Is the queue the same? TIA!

The purchased express passes get you in the same line as the hotel guests. The only difference is that the purchased passes are only good for one time on each ride. Not sure if there are more expensive passes that get you more but I know my husband had checked out the plan when we were there a few weeks ago (stayed at HRH) to see what the cost would be if staying off-site. The unlimited use with the hotel room key is so worth the extra cost of the room, which isn't that bad with the AAA discount.

Thanks Francie57! We're actually only spending 1 day (seeing both parks) at Universal. All of our nights are at WDW. We bought the EPs so that we coulkd "legally" (haha) break in line and see as much as possible during the 1 day. I'm glad to hear that the lines are the same. And we'll probably only have time for each ride once - due to only being there 1 day. Thanks a bunch!

What about the VIP EP? XXXXXtremely expensive, IMO, but doesn't it give you unlimited access to express entrance? For the price, it's obviously cheaper and smarter to stay on site, however...

Yes, but it includes a one day/two park admission. If you take the price of a 1 day/2 park admission price off the price then the VIP express isn't that much more expensive than the regular express.

I do agree that the hotel stay is a better deal but you would then need to purchase an admission ticket plus your hotel stay.
