Are they nuts charging $45.99 for an express pass (for both parks) for a ONE DAY ticket!?!? :confused3 I mean, really? $45.99 EACH????? Last time i bought the express pass, i dont remember it being that pricey!

So for a one day (two parks) ticket WITH express pass i'd be looking at $168! :lmao: :rotfl2: OMG thats hilarious. :rotfl: Crazy.

It depends on the anticipated crowd levels for that day...the more expensive it is, the higher the crowds should be. If you think that's expensive, you should see how much the EPs are for HHN!

I guess they charge what they can get!

Staying onsite is often cheaper because you get 2 days of unlimited express and early admission.

Demand sets the price, so people are paying these prices for express pass.

As Damo mentioned, the alternative is to stay on-site.

I thought about staying onsite but it just wasnt in the budget. :(

You should be able to wait until you arrive and see how bad the crowds are, before purchasing the EP. I wouldn't buy them in advance.

I know it's too late, and if the 168 is too high, 224 plus tax is definitely too high, but... for the future, remember that booking *one* night gets you two days of the hotel's Express Pass, which is unlimited (unlike the purchased EP which allows you one ride on each participating attraction). So, for instance, I'm looking at Royal Pacific on the 26th, it's 224 plus tax. That gets you the 26th and 27th of early entrance and unlimited express pass. Heck, you don't even have to *stay* there, just book it and check in to get your keycard and express pass.

For the future, it's worth thinking about.

This is why I don't understand why anyone buys them. While in the end, a single night might be more expensive than one days express, getting 2 days of unlimited express with that one night makes it so worthwhile.

We'll be there for the first weekend of HHN and are staying onsite. Friends are going to stay offsite, but we're going to add them to our room and they'll pay the extra fees just for the express.

It's so worth it! And after all, time is money as they say, so better to spend that time enjoying stuff than waiting in line :cool1:

Totally agree! Plus additional time is saved on transportation between the hotel and Citywalk/USF/IOA when staying onsite.

Express pass for two would cost you $90/day. That is $180 for two days. So if you are staying somewhere else for $120/night it is costing you $300 for your visit. You can usually get a room for well under $300 at Universal and save yourself some money and get early admission to both parks for both days, and save some time in transportation. Plus, the Universal hotels are nice!!!

Im doing both parks in ONE day...not two days. So it'll be $90.

Plus I do have connections in universal so i get the tickets at 60% off the regular price. Yay! Anyway, i will definitely consider a universal hotel for our next trip. For this trip its too late. We leave tomorrow. Lol.

The express pass is great! We are staying at the RPR; in fact I'm typing this from my room. This week is the beginning of moderate crowd levels and even at moderate levels the express pass came in very handy. Pretty much walked on every ride, saved us a lot of time. For example, we did US today with early entry and left the park at 3pm, we had done everything we wanted. Had time to use the pool and finished the day at IOA.
