Express Passes and Virtual Lines

How do EP’s work with regards to virtual lines? The last time we were there, they were testing it out on the Minions ride, but it was a disaster. I have no idea how it works. Do I still get “in line” through the app with my express pass, or can I just walk up? Sorry if this has been asked and answered a million times.

No need to reserve a time through the App. You just go through the Express Line whenever you want.
