Express Pass

Can you only buy the express pass at the gates of US/IOA?? I would like to buy them ahead of time if possible. Also how much do they cost??

Check online to see if they're offered. Primarily, the express you can buy is only available at the parks, and at DU locations. Price and availability vary, depending on season. It can range from $10 per person to $25+ per person.

I bought mine through Universal Vacations online. Just choose theme park tickets only and your dates and then you have the option to buy the express plus tickets. They do not charge to mail....Steve

You can't really buy them at the gates...DM correct me if I am wrong. But there are many places inside the park that you can buy them. But I would purchase them on line if it were me....

Thanks for the info. I can't seem to find the express passes online, though....what website was it on that you purchased them?? (Universal Studios main website says they are to be purchased at the park entrances?)

I have questions though.... can the express pass be used during HHN? And if so, does it include express pass tickets for the houses or other Halloween specific things going on during HHN?

Okay I found this info:
Express Line Access during Halloween Horror Nights 13.

Each Halloween Horror Nights Express booklet coupon, when presented to the attendant, allows the guest access to the Express Line of a specific Halloween Horror Night venue and a specific Islands of Adventure ride/attraction.

The Express booklet is date specific and can only be used on the date indicated on the booklet. Express line access is limited to one person per coupon per venue. Valid only during this specially ticketed event. Halloween Horror Nights Express does not include admission to Halloween Horror Nights 13 event.



However- I'm confused on what exactly this means. What is the specific HHN venue? Does that mean all the haunted houses and stuff?
And what does "a specific IOA ride/attraction" mean??

"Venue" means that particular attraction/house. At Screamhouse Revisited, you must present the express pass for Screamhouse Revisited. At Spider-Man, you must present the pass for Spider-Man. Each pass will have the attraction logo on it as well.

You can also buy them at guest services. Guest services is on the right hand side before you enter the gates at IoA. (They are just to the right of the ticket booths.)

When I first read this thread and checked it all out online- I thought I'd just wait until I was there to get the express tickets for HHN because I wasn't sure what nights I would for sure go. I have the 26th, 28th and 29th that I can go- I might go one night or all 3- who knows.
However, I just noticed that the 26th is not showing available to buy online- so that means it's sold out for that night already, right?
So then I decided to go ahead and buy the express tickets for HHN for the 28th- because I'll probably go that night for sure- possibly not on the 29th since I have MNSSHP on the 30th- don't want to plan too many late nights in a row- yanno?

HOWEVER, it doesn't really say how they handle the tickets. It says they'll be mailed- but don't show how much it costs for them to be mailed? And it doesn't say how quickly they would arrive. Do you think it would be wise to purchase this online when the ticket might not arrive in time for my trip? I'll be leaving on the 23rd.... is there a way to order them will call like I did the actual admission tickets?

Firstly, I checked and I seem to be able to buy tickets for the 26th October for HHN from both the main universal site and the univacations one (can purchase the express passes here too).

Normal postage from the Univacations site is free - but you have the option of paying $15 extra for express overnight delivery.

Since you will be travelling within 14 days my understanding of their conditions (bottom of page where you enter your credit card details) is that you can pick up the tickets at the Guest Services/Will Call at Universal - or I presume you can use the $15 Overnight option.

Wow, I wonder why the 26th wasn't showing as an option for me? I put my travel dates as 23rd to 31st and on the pull down thing for that express HHN ticket it showed the 28th as the first date available to buy. I'll check again.
I also thought I looked all over- even under where I put the credit card info and I didn't see info about will call or anything. I wonder if I was looking at another place or something..... thanks! I'll check again.

You are absolutely right! I went to the same place (link on this thread -univacations I guess it's called) and all that info IS there at the bottom. I must have been very tired last night not to see that even though I was searching. LOL Thanks~!

However, it still only showed 23rd, 28th, 29th and 30th as available days to purchase the HHN express tickets. So I just purchased it for the 28th. Thanks for your help!

I did get through the web site maze, but it looks like the two park Express Pass is not an option. It was $20 for one park for our date. We'd like to take DH to see Shrek, then go on over to IOA for the rides we really like. We'll be there just one day after a cruise, Dec. 29, so I know it will be crowded. I hate to buy them there, but is that the only option? Also, is there any discount for holders of the Annual Power Pass? Diana

Two park express is only offered during the off season.

As for discounts on express plus, you can check, but it is very unlikely.
