Ok. We are staying at Portofino bay. It said we get in an hour early so I figured that would be good to ride FJ and Gringotts but I think I just read the IoA will not have early entry when we are there.
Why not? What is a good plan?
We have 2 mornings, so I was going to go to one each early morning.
This is on Oct. 16 and 17th.
Advice?

Does Hogwarts train have express pass?
How long are the waits for it?
I am really struggling with a plan for the Harry Potter stuff.

Coming from Disney, it seems crazy and overwhelming that something wouldn't have Express Pass but, honestly, we don't do "rope drop" or early entry and I have never had a problem and, except for one time, have never had an exceedingly long wait for any of the Harry Potter rides.

If you are into early entry, and USO is the first park to open that day, here is what I would do - head to USO, do Gringott's and Olivanders and then have a little stroll through Diagon Alley until it nears opening time for IOA when you should head to the Hogwart's Express. When you get to IOA, ride FJ and whatever else you are interested in at Hogsmeade (Dragon Challenge, Flight of the Hippogriff). You can then choose to either spend the rest of your day at IOA or ride the Hogwart's Express back to USO and spend the rest of the day there.
I doubt you will have more than a 20-30 minute wait for anything.

You should still be able to ride the HP rides without too much of a wait. I'm not the expert here, but my plan would be:

Day 1 - Arrive for the extra hour at Universal Studios. Ride Gringotts. Do the wand shop if you are interested. spend as much time in Diagon Alley as you want.

Day 2 - Arrive for the extra hour at US. Ride Gringotts again. Walk over to the train before it opens. Take the train over to IoA and go right to FJ. Ride Dragon Challenge - should be able to do both coasters without much wait.

We pretty much did that plan 2 years ago and it worked fine. We plan to do it again this October, too - a few days before you are there.

Thank you.

Any advice on breakfast? A quick something we can grab in Hogsmeade or Daigon Alley?
Maybe in between rides.

Since you are staying onsite , the 3 hotels offer various breakfast menus

Orchid court lounge is set up in the lobby at rpr at 6:00 am each morning

Easy for basic breakfast for a grab and go

Thought pbh had early morning set up

Hrh also has options

I am not sure we will want to eat that early. I was thinking more like around 10.

The two missing from the lists above are Ollivander's Wand Shop *show* and Pteranodon Flyers. (can't believe I missed Hogwarts Express in an earlier post)

Yes. 3 Broomsticks and I am almost certain Leaky Cauldron serve breakfast. Just know that they switch over to lunch at 10:30!!!

Do they require reservations? Or is it quick service?
