Husband and I are taking the grandkids (ages 15 & 8) to WDW and Universal during Easter week. Only have 1 day for both Universal parks. Is it worth the extra $40 per person for the express passes?

Are you sure the week of Easter is only $40 per person for Express passes? $40 is the cheapest they sell express passes for. During Easter week, I'm seeing prices vary from $90 to $120 per person. If you could get it for $40 I'd jump at it.

I guess I read the website wrong... didn't notice the "starting at". Just called Universal and it would be $99 per person for the express passes. Nope, that isn't going to happen.

Parks will be crowded if ep prices are that high

Plan on arriving at the parks early before they open to the general public if you are not staying at one of the 3 deluxe onsite hotels

Use the single rider lines where they are available

Eat at off times in the park to avoid long waits

Have a plan in advance
Check out www.universalorlando.com and see the layout of the parks in advance
You will be able to reach the rides/shows/restrooms/first aid/eateries, etc easier

Thank you for the tips! I am going to have the kids tell me which are the top 4 things they'd like to make sure we do and then work from there. My husband is tired already just thinking about the trip... he's not a theme park person so it'll be interesting.

That's an excellent plan to make

Select the can't miss ones in advance and study the park map on the website so you can hit the rides that are grouped together

Your husband can sit and hold the bags you have if he doesn't want to do certain rides
A nice way to avoid having to use lockers for some of the rides
