express pass question

we are staying onsite and will utilize the express passes with our room key. My question is what if one of us loses our room key. It just seems too easy to say I lost it and give it to someone not staying on property for them to use. I can get a new key and continue using. How is this monitored so people don't scam the system? Just wondering. Thanks.
 
If you lose your room key, contact the hotel.

they will cancel that card out.


they will reissue you another key.
you just have to go back to the hotel lobby to pick it up.

no one will be able to use your lost hotel key.
when the lost key is scanned, it will show the TM, that card is not valid.

Are they now scanning hotel keys for the rides? Never had this before.:confused3
 

each time i go, i have had my hotel key card checked by a TM in the express line.

maybe i look like a rebel and they want to make sure i really have that hotel card........:laughing:
 
we haven't been since 06, but back then it was randomly checked - maybe once every three rides :confused3 but definitely checked.
