Hello, can you explain the Express Pass that you purchase for one day to me. I thought you got the ticket and that it allowed you to go to an Express pass line one time for each valid ride, to bypass the regular line. I just read somewhere that you need to go ahead of time and get tickets for certain times like the Fastpass at Disney, is that true? If so what is the purpose of buying an Express Pass then?

Thanks.

It used to work like that when Universal had the free Express Plus where you had a window you could come back and ride but since they did away with that, you can go whenever you want.

Is this worthwhile in early November? Haven't been to Universal since Dec 2004.

That time of year is pretty slow so you shouldn't need them. If you get to the park and it's busy, you can always purchase them there.

We are going to be in Orlando between 6/5-13. I'm thinking this is a pretty busy time for US/IOA. I was going to get the express pass for at least 1 day, ahead of time, because on the website it says only so many will be sold for a particular day. I would like to wait until we get there though, to see how busy it is. Not sure if I should wait because they may be all sold out.:confused3

Any opinions on this?

TIA!!:goodvibes :flower3: :goodvibes

You're right...It will be busy then but I doubt they would sell out of the Express Plus passes...it's not THAT busy. Get there early and if the lines start getting out of control, you can buy them at any store at either park.

Ok I just can't believe people pay for these passes and now it has me thinking of getting them too. My family will be there the last week in June. Does anyone have an opinion on the crowd level/line wait times? My thoughts are this is going into a busy weekend and we may be able to benefit from the passes. I still understand there will be a wait but not longer than 20mins at the most..............right?:confused3 I feel like we can get thru most things quickly and even get to the second park perhaps. I wished they would offer a 2day/2park EP. If I buy, it will cost me another $200 est :scared1: and since Disney has raised stroller rental prices I feel like we are all being cheated out of our hard earned money. Most families that take a vacation to WDW, IOA etc are middle class with 2 adults and 3 to 4 kids all under 13yrs. I just don't know about getting the tickets but I do remember in 2004 how crowded it was and waiting for some rides were over 40 mins (long lines, short rides). I just better find more things to sell in my annual yard sell to pay for these extra (outrageous) costs should I give into it. What's everyone elses thoughts on this

The last week of June should be fairly busy but if you get to the parks at opening, you should be able to do the bigger stuff and miss most of the crowds. Since The Simpsons should be open by that time, I would suggest heading to the Studios first thing.

The thing with the Express Plus passes is that sometimes you don't need them but they can be purchased at either park. If the crowds start to get out of control, you can decide if you want to spend the money on the EP's.

Thanks, yeah I guess your right and just use good judgement in waiting to see what the crowds actually look like before spending more mulah.
