Express Pass next week?

We are doing 1-day Park-to-Park next Wednesday, May 3rd.

4 adults, 2 kids (ages 8 and 6)

We'd like to see/do a good amount of things, but we're not obsessed with doing everything. We only have 1-day on this trip but I'm sure we will be back some day.

I think crowds should be reasonably low, but just wondering if that means we're better off getting express pass since everything will be walk-on, or skipping it since lines SHOULD be short (I think?).

Pricing for the pass is $184 for 1-time and $204 for unlimited.

Also as an aside, I'd seen a tip about booking a premiere hotel room for the express pass, but it looks like that's not really a thing anymore?

When I go to book a premiere resort it looks like it changes the price based on number of guests. IE if I put 2 guests in the price of the room is $500/nt, but if I change it to 4 guests (still 1 room) it jumps to $1200/nt.

Your tolerance for lines may answer the question - I would expect EP lines to be pretty much walk on, conversely the lines in general may be close to walk on in the morning and especially evening. Is skipping all the lines (minus Hagrids) worth $800?

As long as the room sleeps 4, the kids are free. It might be that only king bed standard rooms are available? So the 4th person is pushing it up to a suite or some such. Try May 2 or May 3, the EP will work on check in or check out day. Although, if you book 5/2 I don't know if you'd need to go to the hotel in person on 5/2 to pick up the room keys, or if they'd let you pick them up early on 5/3.


I checked - all 3 premier hotels have availability May 3 for 4 people (2 kids) - $442 for RP, $511 for HRH, $534 for PB. Make sure you're listing them as kids.

Something is not going right with your hotel search. So long as you’re within the capacity of the room for a premiere hotel adding an additional person only adds $50 to the cost for each.
