Express pass needed for late April or early May?

We're planning on staying at CB for a few nights but will only hit the parks on one day. We don't do a lot of thrill rides, but I'd like to try Spiderman. If I get there when the parks open for resort guests and go straight to Spiderman, would I have much a wait, or should I just get the express pass? Others in our group will want to do the Seuss attractions, minions, etc. I don't remember them being too crowded last year in May. Would the express pass help much?

Well early entry is right now only in Universal Studios. Just a few rides are open and Diagon Alley.

So EE will not help with IOA now. Also depends on time of year for your trip.

Thanks! Didn't realize only US had early opening. We'll just have to start there, reverse our plans, and maybe buy the pass if it's crowded.

We went to Universal third week of April 2013 (New England school break). We stayed onsite, and used early entry each day to ride HPFJ a few times. As soon as regular entry started, we'd head right to Hulk & Spider-man. We didn't even have to bother with our express passes - both rides were a walk on for at least an hour. Pretty much everyone headed straight to HP as soon as regular admission opened. I'd assume it will be even more that way now that the new HP section is open.
