Hi,

I will be visiting Universal Studios on Dec 26th and 27th. We are not staying onsite and are considering purchasing the express passes, which will be going for $60/day at that time. The parks are open until midnight for these 2 days. Will the parks still be crowded so late at night? I would think the crowd would start to thin out at some point. Should I save the $ on the passes and do the popular attractions late at night, hoping for shorter lines? Thanks you for you input. JT.

That's a tough question. I would think the crowd would eventually thin out by evening, but WWoHP has increased holiday traffic going by what happened last week.

If you are staying all day/evening, I wouldn't fool with the EPs...just wait until the parks thin out...which they should at some point during the evening hours.

If you're planning on staying all day do not get the EP, it will leave you with a lot of time on your hands.

IOA/USO are my favorite parks in Orlando, but the sad reality is that you can breeze through both rather quickly if you are intent on doing so, and if you get an EP it wouldn't be hard to imagine clearing out both by mid-afternoon.

If you're not planning on doing water rides, you will find IOA a very fast, fun park to navigate through as the three soakers consist of a large chunk of the park and they typically are one of the main reasons to get an EP (as Ripsaw can easily generate an 80 minute standby).
