Express Pass - Different Prices?

Can someone please clarify - does an express pass cost different amounts based on when you use it? I was on the Universal site and thought it was $99 for an express and $129 for an unlimited express, but at Sam's Club after I had put in travel dates, it listed an unlimited express as $237 for our dates in March? There are 6 of us - there is no way! And I think all the premier hotels are sold out. Might have to pivot and just go to the beach!! Yikes!

Express Pass has dynamic pricing, which means that the price changes based on the time of year. So March (which is peak spring break crowds) will be more expensive than a "slower" time like mid May. Weekends will be more expensive than weekdays and holidays will be even more expensive. They are priced based on how busy Universal thinks the parks will be. Express Pass also increases in price the closer to the date you want to use it is, so it's recommended to buy it a few months before your trip.

I've seen it as high as $360/person per day. Definitely fluctuates.
