Express Checkout

Upon check in, we decided the Express Checkout was a good idea. Especially since our last night was going to be a clubbing all-nighter... well after staying out and dancing the night away, imagine my "surprise" to get a knock on the door at 8AM. I open the door and the woman hands me an envelope with my receipt inside and a STRING on the end.

Didn't someone tell her that the string was there so that she could hang that envelope on the DOOR NOT MY FINGER! LOL

So, now my secret is out, I'm not beautiful first thing in the morning!

I think they are supposed to just slip it under the door. Everytime we've done it, it was under the door as early as 6AM. Sorry to hear they woke you up, especially after a late night!

I've never had that happen, they usually slide it under the door.

I have found that if the "do not disturb" sign isn't on the door, they will knock just to ask if you are checking out...even before 8 am. Now I make sure that sign is on the door, especially on the last night!

My DW and I just returned from a vacation at the BC last week (11/10 - 17) and our receipt was slipped under our door the last morning. We had a DND sign, but did not use it.

We also hang our "Do not disturb" sign out each night because the folks at WDW seem to get moving a little earlier than we do. Still, that's no reason for them to knock on your door with the bill. I think we've forgotten to hang the sign at least once, but the bill always shows up under the door.

Our bill has always been hanging on the door. Do they slip it underneath now?

Our express checkout has always been put under the door with or without the DND sign. WDW resorts we have stayed in WL, GF, AKL, Poly, BWI and DL since 1992.

It's been my experience at resorts with an inside hallway they slip it under the door, resorts with outside entrances they hang it on the door (I guess the door doesn't have a space underneath). I've never had them knock on the door to present the bill, but I have had them knock to see when we are leaving.
