Can someone explain the new Wishes evening show? I know it is Fireworks but what is different from the Fantasy in the Sky? Personally my kids don't enjoy FW so we usually hit rides during this time....thanks

I always thought that fireworks were fireworks (even with Fantasy in the Sky). I saw Wishes in Feb and it is more than just fireworks. It is an integration of fireworks, music, and story-telling in a very entertaining way. I HIGHLY recommend you see it.

My brother just went 2 weeks ago and said it was a MUST SEE - and we've both been to WDW more times then we can remember. He said be SURE and be somewhere in front of the castle to fully enjoy it.

I have searched every possible site I can think of, including the official WDW site, and can find NO information as to what time this show takes place. We are going tomorrow for the weekend, and were wondering what time the show takes place on Sunday evening...Anybody?

Whatever you do, don't miss Wishes...the show is nothing like the fireworks you are thinking of. There's beautiful music, the lights on the castle change colors, and the fireworks are fantastic. We were staying with a friend who lived close enough to MK that we watched the fireworks from his deck every night, but when we actually got there to see it, it was incredible. Even in the pouring rain the show made me cry. Don't miss it, its definitely worth the 20 minutes. It was my favorite part of the day.

I was hoping to get an Illuminations cruise this summer but it was booked. However, I WAS able to book a Wishes cruise. I'm thinking this may be better since I have two younger kids (5 and nearly 8). Does anyone know if you can hear the music from the cruise?

I read somewhere (probably here) that Wishes was supose to have characters too, but they aren't.
Example -- When you hear Genie yell something like -- Hey! Up here! -- Genie was originally planned to be in the upper portion of the castle. And other chatacters were suppose to be included.

Thanks! I can't believe I could not find it. I really appreciate the info. :)
