Explain EPCOT hours

Ok, I know that this is probably answered somewhere and has been answered a million times, but I haven't seen the answer so.....

Why does FW open two hours before WS? Just wondering. Also in reverse, why does FW attractions close before WS? It almost seems like it should be the opposite especially at closings.

you got that backwards actually.. but i think you knew that.. WS opens 2 hours later, mostly because most of the bottleneck starts out in FW and slowly works its way back. they don't believe anyone would be rushing to maelstrom at 9 am so they don't care to pay CMs more than necessary.

as far as FW closing first, it really doesn't. some of it does, true, but the headliners all stay open until WS closes too. specifically, soarin', mission:space, spaceship earth, test track and the entire seas pavilion.

mouse gear, sunshine seasons and electric umbrella are all open until at least 8 every night too

Mouse Gears is usually the last thing to close, kinda like Main Street at MK.

All of Epcot used to have the same opening and closing times. But like Robo said, the Cast Members back in the countries were bored bcause it took quite a while for the guests to make their way back there. If you find an old, old guide book, the advice was to get to Epcot and skip Future World and head way back to America and start your touring from there. Obviously, not many people took that advice.

It was detmined that it took an average guest about two hours to do Future World so the opening of World Showcase was moved back to then.

It's not like Future World goes totally dark at 7:00. At first, one or two attractions remianed open but with the more popular attractions going in, almost everything is still open.

It's gotten to be almost to the point where Future World opens at 9:00 and closes at 9:00. World Showcase opens at 11:00 and closes at 9:00.

hmm.. is it more upsetting that when i answer questions, 80% of the time nobody listens to me or the other 20%, they think i'm someone else?
