We have never used the Baby swapping before, but this May we are going to. We are staying at BWV so will have FP+. How will we go about doing the "swapping"??

Take the child that is too short with you to the entrance of the line. They give you a rider swap pass that is good for up to 3 guests to enter the FP line anytime up until a certain date (the ones we got in early February were good until the end of the month). The first part of your party enters the line at that point, either FP or stand by. The second half of your party can ride at whatever time they choose, through the FP line, until your rider swap pass expires.

The second half of your party currently does not need to hold a FP+ for this. That means you can use those FP+ for other attractions. For example (assuming your older child is tall enough) you and your older child have a FP+ for Soarin', dad has one for TT. Whole family goes to the entrance and you ask for a swap pass. You and older child ride Soarin', dad and younger child go do whatever. After you finish Soarin' (or whenever you want during the day), dad and older child return and ride again with the swap pass. At TT, all of you go to the entrance together and ask for a swap pass there. Dad rides with his FP+ while you and the kids go off somewhere. Dad finishes, you and your son get to ride TT through the FP line.

Your older child will get extra rides because of the rider swap pass. You also can use your FP+ on more rides because of this. Some people don't like that rider swap allows you to do this, but even using this to your advantage it takes longer to get 2 groups through the lines than it would to ride all together, so I consider it a wash. It is an advantage to your older child though, who will get to ride some things twice.

Keep in mind there have been isolated reports of some CMs not allowing people to get a RS pass when using a FP+, but that is not how it is usually handled, and I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Thank you for the tips! My oldest son is 4 and can do the bigger rides like soarin' , test track, etc. but we have a 18 month old who is too small. Normally we go down to Disney in a big group, but this time it will just be us 4 which is why we want to take advantage of the swap since we both like to experience the rides with our 4 year old.
