I'm a bit confused as to how this works.

Let's pretend I have 100 SSR points and I want to add 100 BWV points.

I can now get into BWV at 11 months out.. but what if I want to stay for a longer trip and I go over my 100 BWV points? can I use points from SSR? Or do I have to move over to the SSR resort?

I know I'm getting WAY ahead of myself here (I haven't even bought in yet and I'm already thinking of adding on! Lord help me! :rotfl: ) but I was just curious.

thanks!

Home resort points can be used starting at 11 months before your stay at your home resort. At 7 months, points can be used at any home. So you would buy BWV if you wanted to book BWV starting at 11 months.
You don't have to move, you just need to have a reservation.

Like everyone said....at 7 months before your planned trip....all the points can be used "together".

It is easier to keep your points in 1 place ......unless you want the 11 month
advantage at 2 resorts....for 100pts...in your example.

You can BANK or BORROW your BWV points in order to get the required number of points you need for the reservation you want. For instance, if you have 100 2008 UY BWV points and need 150 for a ressie 11 months out, you can borrow points from your 2009 UY assuming that you will be 1 year or less from your UY date when you actually take the trip and use the points.

Once you borrow from one UY into another (or bank for that matter) you can NOT move them back into their original UY. Something to be aware of.

That is the nice thing about having an add-on at a different resort than your original resort. With proper planning, you can take advantage of the 11 month booking window for both resorts if you bank/borrow strategically.

You can also book part of your stay at 11 months and the try for the rest at 7 months, weekend days are easier to get and more points so those are the ones that are best to leave until 7 months when applicable.
