We are a family of 5:
me - like exotic foods, variety, will eat anything (but have a nut allergy)
DH - WILL EAT ANYTHING
DS14 - growing boy; good appetite; faily adventurous
DD12 - very very picky eater; small appetite; veggies will not pass her lips
DD9 - slighly picky; good appetite; will eat salad
All of the kids like meat. Two of them aren't wild about seafood.

Epcot is supposed to be the restaurant nirvana, but when I read the reviews, few of them really excite me. And some that look nice have a VERY limited childrens' menu.

So Epcot experts, please suggest away. (I've looked at the menus on allearsnet. I'd like personal recommendations. But don't suggest Mexican; we're from Texas and get plenty of that.)

Thank you!!!:D

Hey, I'm from New Mexico.........so I know how you feel about eating mexican away from home!

Check out the menus on www.allearsnet.com

We like Rose and Crown, Morrocco, and Chefs de France. They meat and potatoes places that can still have the exotic taste to them. We also like the place in Norway because its very unique.

I'd also suggest Canada (have steaks and such that could be made plain without the sauces, etc) and Italy (can't go wrong with pasta!)

I was also going to add Garden Grill. Nothing exotic......the salad is good and the meat choices (flank steak, chicken, catfish) should suit almost anyone. You also get refills on whatever portions you'd like, so if no one wants any veggies, there is no wasting. We like this character meal (we go at lunch) alot. My daughter is 15 and sometimes feels embarrassed because there is so much emphasis on very little kids at character meals. Here they come to your booth and other tables can't really see what's going on.

Our kids (13 & 9) favorite in all of WDW is the Teppanyaki in Japan. We've been going there since the kids were 4 & 8 and they love to watch the chefs cook and toss the knives.

Other favorites:
LeCellier - loved it last time and can't wait to go again.
Marrakesh - did lunch there last time and it was very good

We used to eat in Itally but have found it not that special - seems like most Italian chain restaurants.

Good Luck and Enjoy

My suggestion, in addition to those already listed, is Biergarten. It's a buffet that offers traditional German food along with some more standard fare. allearsnet.com has this menu listed. Beyond the food though, your kids will probably enjoy the entertainment. A german band does a short show, and one lucky kid gets to be the guest conductor. Maybe one of yours would get chosen!!

I add my vote for Garden Grill & Le Cellier. We also enjoyed Alfredo's on our last trip, it was a nice change of pace from our usual routine.

Le Cellier and Chefs de France are great. Le Cellier will keep everybody happy given everyone's likes and dislikes. Chefs de France is a little more adventurous, but still pretty safe.

Alfredo's is overrated and overcrowded, and the waiters are overbearing.......but we still enjoyed our last meal their.

My family is pretty across the board on food. But we usually, all enjoy Le Cellier or Beirgarten. Everyone finds something they like. We're from California so we get lots of Mexican too! So we usually pass on the San Angel. Plus, it not quite as spicey as we're used to at home. :D

I would suggest Nine Dragons and Alfredo's. Nine Dragons has a nice atmosphere and a variety of food for all different types. Alfredo's always fills my craving for Italian! They have very tasty sauce and I have always had a pleasant experience there.

I was going to suggest slipping out the International gateway and having dinner on the Boardwalk. I'm sure your children would like the ESPN Club.

Or Spoodles. Go to Allears and check out the menus.

Morroco for us they had a great sampler on the menu when I was there our son however thought the morrocan hamburgers were weird no buns

Le Cellier, Rose & Crown Pub and Chef de France are our favorites at Epcot. We are doing the Candlelight Processional at ROse & Crown this year.
