Expert Planner opinions for first time visitors

There's not really a "quick service" type option at RPR, so if you don't eat before arriving at the hotel, the best options for a quick/easy lunch would be in the parks.

Royal Pacific opened Tuk Tuk last year.

It`s a quick service set up in the lobby where the Concierge desk and ticket desk used to be.

It`s a big success.

OP when are you going? Right now there isn’t much if any wait for rides. We did both parks yesterday from 9-5. Most shows weren’t running yet. Did have a reservation for Mythos though to avoid any wait.

Also utilize the mobile order available at nearly all the quick service places, even in the Wizarding Worlds, currently they verify you have a mobile order, they will seat you and then your food is brought out to you. Frankly I hope this type of service stays when things return to “normal”!

I did see photos of that, but it appeared to be more of a grab and go like Emack & Bolio's at HRH, as opposed to a food court type place with stations that one might find elsewhere. The lunch menu seemed limited to me, but still an option for OP to check out first before going to the parks!

There are tables for people to sit at as well as take out......

Lots of food choices like sandwiches and salads as well as pizza and other items, it does have a very good menu.

Yes, It`s not a food court with various stations, but it`s very popular.

OMG- I just looked at the Tuk Tuk menu and it looks amazing! So does the seating area... beautiful! Wish it was there last time we went.

We are back!

-2 families of 5 with mostly teen kiddos.
-We are arriving a day early to stay at Royal Pacific (Express passes) (Note: One family will not arrive in Orlando until Noon)
-4 day park to park tickets
-Sunday (7/12) - Arrive- Park day using EP (Cannot go until afternoon) - Stay at resort
-Monday - Park day using EP Early entry - Stay at VRBO house
-Tuesday - Free day
-Wednesday - Volcano Bay (2 single cabanas rented)
-Thursday - Universal (No EP)
-Friday - Travel Home

Sunday - We went to US and the crowds were non-existent. We road everything we wanted. The Express passes were nice, but probably not needed.

Monday - We went to US for rides and then road Hogwarts express to IOA, did the wand experience and road everything we wanted there too.

Wednesday - Volcano Bay was awesome. The cabanas are the way to go. The service was great! The concrete was HOT! They had to shut down due to lightening, but we still enjoyed relaxing in the cabana.

Thuraday - We re-road rides, rode rides we had missed, watched the Borne show, we did all of the water rides before leaving. I was the only one to wear a poncho and it actually did keep me much dryer than the others. I also had flip flops in my bag to wear so my shoes wouldn't get wet. We upgraded to AP's. :)

The kids road Rip several times all 3 days we were there, we road Hagrids multiple times and the Mummy twice. Hagrids did go down due to weather a couple of times Thursday. The kids also road Hulk countless times. Virtual passes for Hagrid was easy and almost always available. The feast at 3 broomsticks was amazing and could feed more than 4! We also had donuts at Voodoo. There was no line there either. There was a small line for shakes at Toothsomes.

Google showed Cow Fish to be open. I called Universal to confirm before going over and they at first said no it is one of the last ones they have been waiting to open up, but then looked to verify and said It opens Thursday at 4. (This was Thursday after 4). We went there and the sign on the door said closed. I called Universal again and the girl said it has been closed and none of them had heard of it opening. She said wait to verify and then came back on and said It actually says it is open. I let her know it was not and we left and went to a Japanese steakhouse. :)
