Hi All, I am considering a contract with an October UY; there are points banked from 2015 to 2016, and I understand they would have to be used by October 2017. My first question: for a particular UY, must the points be used by the beginning or by the end of the anniversary month? I want to plan a trip that starts in October 2017, and continues into November 2017 -- could I use the banked 2015 and current 2016 points for the October 2017 dates, and borrow 2018 points for the November 2017 dates? Would this be very complicated to accomplish? Thanks in advance!!

Before the beginning of the UY so in this case you wouldn't be able to use the banked 2015 points at all and would have to bank 2016 points to use them. Also, points are counted as used day by day so checking in 30 Sept wouldn't help any.

Agree with Dean. Use years start on the 1st of the month. October use years run from 10/1 through the following 9/30.

The 2015 points were banked into the 2016 UY and are valid for stays from 10/1/16-9/30/17. The 2016 points are valid for the same time or can be banked into the 2017 UY to be used for stays from 10/1/17-9/30/18.

So, for an Oct-Nov 2017 stay you can used banked 2016 points, current 2017 points and borrow 2018 points if necessary.

The banked 2015 points will expire after 9/30/17 if not used by then.

Just rent them and look at it as a reduction in price if you can't use them. Realize if you pay for maint fees for this year you wouldn't be getting free points, that'd be roughly break even.
