My 180 window opens in just over a months time!  We know which ADR's we want to make but are unsure of the order in which to make them! :confused3 I know the obvious ones like CRT and Chef Mickey's need to be done first, but the others I am not sure........ Any help is appreciated! Thanks :)

CRT - breakfast
Chef Mickey's - supper
50's Prime Time Cafe - lunch
Rainforest @ AK - supper (OOP)
Princess Storybook - breakfast
Garden Grill - supper
Boatwright's - breakfast
T-Rex Cafe - supper (I realize it is not open yet and ADR's will probably not be taken until after my window opens........) (OOP)
Biergarten - supper
Boma - supper
Crystal Palace - lunch

As of now, we will be doing DDP. If it changes too much we may reconsider. So, I have noted which meal it is we want and whether it will be DDP or OOP. I don't think this will make much of a difference when making the ressies but, as this is my first time doing so, I am clueless! Thanks again for any and all help! :)

Wow, that's a Salute to All Restaurants, but Mostly Buffets. :rotfl2:

You're on the right track, booking CRT and Chef Mickey's first. But anything else with characters will probably book fast too. That would include the Princess Storybook, Crystal Palace, and to a lesser extent, Garden Grill.

Once you've gotten all the character buffets done, go for the Disney owned places next (which would be everything except Rainforest and T-Rex.) I'm not sure if all the operating participants (aka non-Disney owned places) require the exact 180 day window, but many do. If the cast member says he/she cannot book those two places until exactly 180 days out, that's the reason. Go ahead and try asking first. The worst that could happen is another phone call on the 180 day mark.

Remember you can make reservations starting at 180 days out of your first day at the resort plus for the next 10 days of your vacation.. So your ADR window is really up to 190 days out. This way you can make all ADRs at 180days out even for days that are beyond 180 days. If your making reservations for January 2009 you shouldn't have any problems getting ADRs for any of choices.

Thanks! :thumbsup2 Yes, I realize it is a lot of Buffets! My family is really big on choice! My kids are great eaters and not picky AT ALL ! My husband is not a large man but he likes a lot of food, especially meat! Buffets and Family style meals are usually what work best for our family! :) Yes, I am aware of the 180 + 10 rule! Thank Goodness for that, I would not want to be making 7 am phone calls every day for 10 days! I need my beauty sleep! :rotfl2:

Thanks so far.....Anyone else have anything to add? :)

I'm not nearly an expert but I'll toss in my 2 cents worth of opinion :) When I called, I did CRT and CM first because of their immense popularity, then HDDR because I wanted one specific day and time only. After that, my order depended on how badly my family wanted to eat at certain places, more than how popular those places all are. So Princess Storybook and Biergarten were next because my dd7 wants to eat at those places on her birthday, and LTT came after them because it's the one place my dh is truly excited about. After that, I pretty much just went by the date order for the rest because we are interested in all of the other places but wouldn't have been crushed to have been shut out of them. Hope that made sense and that you get all the ADRs you are hoping for! :)

I did mine in the order I wanted them by date and got them all. The biggest time difference from my times I wanted was 30 minutes. We got CRT and Le Cellier :cool1:

The CM on the phone was great (can't remember his name) and was very patient with me :goodvibes

It took me nearly an hour and a half to book all 32 ressies and I got everything I wanted. This is for 3 weeks during August and we are on the DxDDP so we had 2 ressies for each day we are doing it.

Just thought I'd ask if you had thought of eating at Ohanas? You said your hubby likes meat... all you can eat and a great atmosphere for everyone. Thought I'd throw that out there..
As far as order, I agree do CRT, Chef Mickeys, then the character ones.... end with the non Disney owned ones! Good luck, let us know how it goes! :thumbsup2

That's probably how I would order them. When I just did ours last week, I did Le Cellier, CRT, Chef Mickey's, then on from there so we have the same idea! :thumbsup2

Because of the 180+10 rule you will have a better chance of getting CRT & CM for your exact time the later into vacation. So yes get ADRs for CRT & CM first, but for dates later in the vacation will give you more open times to choose from for your ADRs.

Thank you so much to each and every one of you for all your wonderful advice and suggestions! :thumbsup2 I now have a pretty solid plan of attack! You guys are awesome! :disrocks:
