We're planning a pre-Xmas trip to Orlando and I've been kicking around the idea of staying at the Ritz Carlton and booking some of the spa's kids and teen packages. Frankly, of the Orlando spas which offer services for kids, the Ritz fares comparably in price. I have two daughters, ages 11 and 14. Anyone had any experiences they can share?

Hey, funny you should ask this.... We are arriving saturday at the Ritz Calrton and I have scheduled a manicure and kids first massage for my daughter. As well as some treatments for myself;) I will report on it once I get back. But let me just say, that if the service is anything like the pre arrival attention we have been given, we will have a hard time staying anywhere else. I agree that the prices are comprable at least to those around here.

Good Luck, I do not think you can go wrong at the RC!

The service has already been amazing. Just yesterday, I booked the spa indulgence package. Today, the spa contacted me to schedule the sessions. I think the price I'm paying is incredible. The package includes a Spa Robe which they sell for $185, a 50-minute signature facial, swedish massage or manicure/pedicure with a minimum value of $120 for only $361. That makes the room at the RC only $56 (I realize the robe is overvalued but it's still a great deal.) I ended up booking two nights and the hotel confirmed that means two treatments and two robes (great Christmas presents I figure.) So, it's a massage for me, the signature facial for my wife, the teen facial for the 14-year old and the Ritz Kids Mini-Facial and Fizzing Pedicure for the 11 year old. Comparing that to Saratoga Springs spa which is similarly priced, here's the service I got: called yesterday, was on hold for 5-10 minutes then got a message saying leave your name and number. Of course, no callback today. We were thinking of going to Atlantis but the reviews have been too spotty. I'm now really psyched about having chosen what will probably be a much more reliably satisfying experience.

Good for you. We got a similarly priced pkg for the dolphin swim.

BTW, if you are looking for a great spa experience, check the
Boca Raton Resort and Spa. DH and I spent a long weekend there last month and the spa is nothing short of amazing. I spent 8 hours getting different treatments one day! The hot stone massage was incredible and we both had this rain water treatment, thought we had died and gone to heaven.

Anyway have fun!!
