I just found out I'll have to wear an Aircast boot to hopefully help my very stubborn plantar fasciitis so I won't have to have surgery. I'm wondering what to expect. Especially since my job has me on my feet all day.

Also, I use a hose a LOT. Any ideas on keeping the thing dry?

I wore one about 3 years ago for a couple of months. You won't be able to move too fast and you'll be walking heel to toe on that foot. If you sit on a higher chair that doesn't allow you to fully plant your foot on the floor, then you might need a stool or pillow to rest it on because otherwise your foot might get a little numb from the weight of it hanging down. Also, I recommend wear pants underneath it if possible. I sometimes got a little sweaty if I did not have pants on.

I wore one for two years. yes, it is big and clunky...but I do not see where standing would bother you. I actually prefer standing in it. I am not in it now, but after getting used to it, it made me feel more secure! but then again, I have been using crutches for 6 years off and on, and I feel safer with those too! ;)
