Experience with staying in same room

Hi all! we are spending 7 nights at Aulani in January. The first 3 nights are a cash room and the last 4 are DVC points. Has anyone had luck staying in the same room with two separate reservations/types? I put the request in on the room but just looking for first hand experience so I know if there is even a chance going into it. The room type and category is the same for both stays - 2 bedroom villa with Oceanview.

Yes there is a chance. When you check in for your first one ask them to link in your second reservation and request the same room. You'll probably have to go down to re-register (update credit card) the start of the second day but otherwise you should be good.

if the cash room is for a dvc studio or above then you should be able to stay in same room. However, a regular hotel room is different than a dvc room so you will most likely need to switch

I suggeat you call, don't wait until check in. They were very accommodating when I made this request.
