Experience With DAS and FP+

We have 21 day tickets bought, which are linked to our initial wdw booking-even though it's only for 6 nights-our booked tickets are for the total duration of our stay.
We don't actually have any tickets in our possession though.

Magic bands definitely don't get sent to us,I've asked previously.
Didn't know we could have different colours, when we pick them up at check-in.
Something else to figure out.

Okay that good so your all set with tickets and fast pass plus as long it shows up on the site. So then if your family all linked up so you can manage their fast pass plus and magic bands.

So on the site their should be my Disney experience then other options will scroll down click on magic bands it should say you have new ones to customize. You have to do at least I think two weeks before you get their so they can be their waiting for you with the color you pick and if you want as name on it they can put one on. It dose not have to be your name you could put your fav character or nick name on it. If you don't your just get gray ones with out no name on it.

Also you might get more then one magic and they have been sending out for each stay I have five of them. But they are working in that but you can use the first one for all your stays you don't have to use the one they give you at checkin for your other in site stays. And when you stay off site just remember your magic bands as the tickets will be on them.

As after I told you how to I decide to go on the uk Disney world site to see if I was wrong which I am I don't see the my Disney experience button.

But go on frequently asked questions and scroll down to my magic plus their they will give you numbers to call and all the info you need.

Sorry I never looked on their site I for some reason thought it be close to the is site so I am sure you reading this and then go on the site to try to find fast pass plus and the magic band I told you about. I keep looking but don't see it I am sorry maybe if you call the number they can help you. Or once you login into manage bookings their be a place to do it.

Your welcome I hope I helped after leaning the site a little different I don't want to waste your time or get your hopes up.

That's no problem-just coming to disney is enough for me.
Anything else is a bonus.

I'll have a play around tomorrow,as I'm sleepy now (awake at 2.40am-not nice:confused3)

Thanks again double d.:goodvibes

That is something they were doing for the start up of the DAS program (it started on October 9, 2013) and when it was busy during the holidays.

The information I have was that it will not necessarily continue, so I would not count on it.
And, depending on the number of people at Guest Relations when you come to the park, you could be in for a long wait there - especially early in the day when people are trying to make dining reservations and resolve ticket issues.

Ok well the info I have from a family member who is a lead in GS in MK is that it will continue to be a accommodation as they know just how much certain disabilities need this.

You are correct the UK guests can go on MDE and do all of the above,
We can also get the app which is easier :)

Instead of going on the UK disney site you need to type in MDE :)

Thanks I didn't know I could get the uk site here in us until I googled it and didn't see where on the site you could. The app is the best option as you can make them and change them if needed.

Thanks again for the info

Good to know the policy will continue. I spoke to my niece today. We're scheduling a trip planning strategy session. With the guest assistant cards and fast pass in the past, we never had to do this. I am gathering all the information I can from this board and from the theme park boards dealing with FP+ so that we can have as stress free a trip as possible with my nephew.

Fastpass+ (FP+) is replacing the original Fastpass program this week in all parks. All guests will have access to 3 FP+ rides per day -- those staying at an on-site WDW resort will be able to schedule FP+ up to 60 days in advance while (at this time) off-site guests can schedule at the park. This could change between now and your trip, depending on when your trip takes place, as it's all new right now.

"Guide" for DAS is in the WDW Disabilities Access Service Card sticky at the top of this forum. The first few posts have all the pertinent details. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3178976

A DAS will be issued for the length of ticket, or 14 days for those with an Annual Pass. Your 21-day pass must be from ... the UK? You will probably get a 14-day expiration on the DAS but I'm not sure anyone has reported about 21-day tickets yet. DAS can be renewed as needed -- either due to time expiry or you have used up all the lines on it, but you only have 1 in-hand at a time.

The only difference off-site will be when you can schedule for FP+, onsite or offsite has no bearing on DAS.

Enjoy your vacation!
14 days is the limit, no matter how long the ticket.
I know the computer is set up to allow 14 days maximum. We have annual passports and on our last trip we were at WDW for 15 days. The Lead tried to set the expiration date to cover our entire trip (without realizing it was 15), but the computer would not let him. He said that was one of the 'safeguards' built into the system.
