I posted earlier for some advice on a 'points' situation, and now the responses have gotten me nervous about being able to book two 2 BR's at the VWL for the first two weeks of December 2005, at the 7 month window.......

I guess I just assumed that since it is Value Season, it would be just as easy as booking our yearly January trip................

What I want to know is.........What is anyone's experience with booking for the first two weeks of December at the 7 month window..??? We are fairly flexible with accomodations and/or location but we cannot be flexible with the dates (12/1 through 12/14).........

Looking for some peace of mind....Thanks...........

That shouldn't be too hard, as it is generally a slow time of year (many schools not out yet). Call on the first day and ask how availibilty looks. Book day by day if they say it is tight. Grand Villas of course are always tight.

We have never had any issues with trying to book at any resort at 7 months out. We own HHI and SSR and have never stayed at either place and never have problems booking the other resorts at 7 months and we only ever go the first 2 weeks of Dec.

I know BWV sells out quick for the first 2 weeks of December. Be sure to call right at the 7 month mark. If you can't get it, you can waitlist. I would book a backup at your home resort just in case (unless it's HH or VB).

If I remember correctly BCV, VWL and BWV were mostly full well before the 7 month window this past year. But with cancellations, you should be OK if you book day by day and wait list anything day by day if you need to.

If you can, book your home resort and then switch/waitlist at the 7 month mark for VWL. At least you'd have accomodations if the waitlist didn't come through.
