expensive car hire

I have just upgraded the hire car with TCD as we are taking my mam and dad for their first disney trip and alltogether this 7 seater has cost £594 i couldnt believe it,but if i cancelled the car the flights would be more expensive.what a scam

Unfortunatley TCD give discounted flights but only if you take their car. You can opt to not have their car but it adds £40pp on the flights. Sometimes it can be worth paying the £40pp and using somewhere like USrentacar but usually only if there are 2 or 3 people.
Frustrating but not a scam, its the way they give cheaper flights.

Not sure which of their insurance options you have gone for but you're correct, you are paying over ths odds and I would say from experience around £150-170 over the odds (based on a two week holiday).
Like Wayne says, divide that between the number of people travelling, add it to their flight cost and is it really that bad - just lie back and think of Walt Disney World
I would want to vent too though if its was me, it's the thought of being forced into it, isn't it? Makes it feel like a rip off.

I felt the same as you and told them, they did knock £160 of my car hire, but I have ordered a 7 seater and 4 seater. Over the top the cheap flights makes up for it.
