Who has info on this ride for a friend?

• Would my DD5 like it (she likes ToT) ?
• How does it start (does it "shoot" like RRC) ?
• When is the best time to get a Fast Past?
• Any other info you might want to share!

My guess is your dd would like it, I love TOT and I love EE too, its like Big Thunder Mountains BIG Brother

It does not shoot like RnR, it starts mildly, your almost thinking its gonna be a let down, but it gets intense

You will definetely want to get a FP as early as possible, on tuesday at 1pm the FP return times were for 6pm I believe, best bet is to go early get a FP then ride it so u can use your FP later

I would say that EE is a cross between Big Thunder Mountain and the Matterhorn with a little extra speed tossed in. If your daughter isn't scared of going fast or backwards... in the dark, it's a pretty good ride. Much smoother than Rock'n roller coaster. We rode it 3 times in a row standby then once fastpass all before the park was even open to off-site guests! Hurray for EMH!

We arrived at AK last Saturday about 30 minutes before the park opened, and when they let us in we went straight to EE. We only waited about 5-10 minutes before we got on the ride. If you do not do this first thing, I would suggest getting a fast pass as soon as possible because I imagine the lines can get pretty long. It is a fun ride, and I think your DD will enjoy it. There are some drops, and it does go backwards at one point, but it isn't overly intense. Have fun!

Has your DD been on Thunder Mtn & Space Mtn? If she likes those (& ToT as you said), she will like EE.

question about EE..........

when it goes backwards, does it DROP going backwards, and if it does, is it a BIG drop?

I'm super excited about trying EE in october, and my friend is not a roller coaster person, but said she would try EE with me if i went on Splash Mountain with her... Which brings me to my next question...

How many times does splash drop? I HATE Log rides... so im just curious?!?

The only part of your question I can answer is concerning the FP. My friends just returned late Sunday evening, my first question, how was EE. They could not get on, it was too crowded. They got to the FP machines at 10:00am, the return time was 4:15, and too late for them. So, go as early as possible to obtain your FP.

Hi Epfootballcutie04 - I believe there are 3 total drops on Splash Mtn BUT the first 2 are small dips and no big deal. The last drop is the 50 ft. drop that I have to close my eyes for during the first 5 seconds at least I've never been on EE, RnR or TOT b/c I'm a chicken but I am thinking of doing EE when I return I think

Actually when it goes backwards you would think it's going to drop, but it does the exact opposite.. You actually spiral upwards into the moutain...then when it goes forward again comes the big drop...and it's not that big since it's curved...it's a fun smooth ride...my favorite

The drop isn't that bad. My DD9 loved the ride; but the Yeti scared her. We rode EE 5 times and each time my daughter rode with her eyes closed the whole way.
It's a smooth ride and very fun.

I really liked this ride, but I have to admit the dark part kind of freaked me out. I really don't like being in the dark and not knowing how long it will be dark. Weird, huh? The second time I went on the ride it was a lot better, because I knew the dark part wouldn't last long.
ToT doesn't scare me a bit, and RNR is my favorite (after I got over the shock of that start!).

I went on the Friday before Memorial Day. Arrived at AK at about noon and went directly to Everest. Big mistake getting there so late...the stand-by line was AN HOUR AND A HALF LONG.

And the fastpass had my time between 4:30 and 5:00.

Granted, not every day will be as crowded as on Memorial Day weekend, but it's very much worth it go get to the park really early, and get a fastpass ASAP.

And as has been said, if your DD can do Big Thunder Moutain, she can do this...although this is more intense. but not so intense that it will bother her, most likely.

I cannot do drops. Seriously.......at all..............
POC's drop is as big as I can handle. I tried Space Mountain once and it was entirely too much, too many drops, for me. I CAN do Big Thunder Mountain, though, because all of the drops spiral; they aren't straight down. How is EE? Do the drops all spiral? Or are there straight drops? If there are straight drops, are they big ones (bigger than POC)? I am just trying to figure out of I can ride this one.

There's two instances with the Yeti. One is an big animated silhouetted "shadow" of the yeti that is on wall of the cave which shows the Yeti tearing apart the train tracks. Not scary, but it's big. Later they have a huge animatronic Yeti that leans over the passing train and it yells and growls and tries to grab the train as it goes by. It's sort of like what the Alien does on the Great Movie Ride at MGM (but bigger/better). Not really all that scary, but I'm sure it can be for some kids.

What do you mean when you say "spiral upwards". I love roller coasters, but have problems with upside down & corkscrews. I can NOT do RnR, but love Space & BTMRR.
