My DH and I are taking at quick weekend trip to WDW in a few weeks, mainly becuase we can't wait to try out Expedition Everest. We're planning on being there well before opening and heading directly over to EE.

Our first thought was to hit the Fast Pass Machines and then jump into line. But now I'm thinking we should ride once first and then get the Fast Pass after we get off. Can anyone who's done either or these methods tell me what to expect approximately for return times on the Fast Pass? Or which method you would suggest.

Thanks!

Typically early in the day your FP return time isn't until an hour after opening. I think you would be fine w/ either of your plans. Waiting until AFTER you ride esp. makes sense if you think you may NOT like it and might not even get a FP.

When we were there in March, we got our fastpasses and then rode EE. The fastpasses go fast! We were then able to ride with minimal wait (5 - 10 minutes).

I wouldn't waste the fastpass until you at least ride it once. We were there the week before Easter, went straight to EE and walked on. When we got off the ride the standby was still only 10 minutes and the fastpass was for an hour later.

FP then ride
Then ride and FP

I thought you couldn't FP the same ride twice in the same day. Am I wrong about that??

You can get a FP for any ride as many times as you want as long as your ticket allows another FP (the waiting time since the last one is over) and their are still FP available.

We went the busy easter week and we rode walk on because we were in the front of the pack then we got a fast pass. What ever you do , do not hang around waiting for your fastpass time to come around as it is a zoo there with people waiting for there fastpass time to come up. come back later in the day after your time has gone by.

My parents are there now and Dad rode it then got the FP b/c the FP line was longer than the standby line. The CM at the entrance told him there wasn't a line inside so he went in and rode it, came out and got his FP for ann hour or so later. I would play it by ear or let someone who is nt ridign it get the FP while you are on the ride.
