Expedition Everest: What kind of ride is this?

Is it a thrill ride? If so, what is the closest other ride that you could compare it to? How scary is it?? LOL Or is it more of an "action" ride like Dinosaur in AK or Indiana Jones at DLR? I realize this ride is not yet open, but I have a feeling that some DISers might already have the inside scoop! Thanks!

We were talking to a CM outside Everest a couple of weeks ago - he has actually been on it, although he said we didn't hear that from him! Everest is a super thrill ride - the CM described it as "the Matterhorn on steroids." He said that the coaster even goes backward! This sounds a little wild for me but DH and DS cannot wait to ride it.

Thanks! I know I was on the Matterhorn many, many years ago but I don't remember specifics about it! LOL It's similar to Big Thunder Mountain, right? So it's a regular type of rollercoaster, but very fast? Any very steep drops?? Any details are greatly appreciated

These things don't scare ME.

As long as it doesn't go too FAST, or go up and down big hills (no drops) or go backwards, or go into the DARK, or have any MONSTERS... I'm OK.
