Expedition Everest storage

I am doing EE for the first time this year, so I can't really answer your question. BUT when we did the Princess 5K last March, each bib had a tear off matching number that you could attach to a bag and they would hold it for you until the end of the race.

Thanks for that. Hopefully they'll do the same and hopefully people at packet pickup will know.

Hi GrumpyOne and DCBride.

For the EE5K they had a drop off for your bag near the start. They then transported your bag to the finish area inside the park. I did it last year and no problems :)

The bag pick up in the park was near the path to the bathrooms next to that store that is opposite Primeval Whirl. I tucked an old race goody bag in my skirt pocket to toss my hydration belt in and the gatorade they had post race for the photos.

they had water at the out and back in the backside of the park (backstage) and again after the obstacles. last year the water after the obstacles were just free standing water dispensers. the one backstage was manned by wonderful Volunteers. I can't remember if there was another.

i wore my hydration belt more to hold my camera and empty bag than anything else :) wanted the camera on hand as i was doing it with my parents and hubby. a 1st family race.

bathroom note! the ones at the park entrance were open. i know they were open when we finished the obstacle and were headed back into the park for the scavenger hunt. just a heads up. :thumbsup2 i'm sure there were others open IN the park too but poor DH needed one ASAP. apparently someone didn't listen to his more race-experienced spouse when she said BEFORE the race we should all visit the potty. :lmao: live, learn and now we know that potty is open at the entrance :thumbsup2

I haven't been following the EE5K threads (heck I am behind on everything!) but have you discussed the obstacles? Those hurdles were almost taller than me. I'd have a game plan for those! Obivously the obstacles WILL be up when you arrive for the race. I think everyone walked around (roped off) the obstacle course while it was still light out. I did and never gave the hurdles a 2nd thought I should have spent some time talking with DH on how we could handle those. I saw others in the race kind of "walk" up the legs of the hurdle or use them to give them the boost up. Not sure what they will have this year but I'm sure it will be fun!!!

Hope you all have a great time!!! Good luck!!! Most of all HAVE FUN!!!!!

I just noticed that Dave (different from the Panda) has done a blog on the EE5K...

If you haven't already check here :) He's super nice and sounds like he has been gathering more info on the 2009 race. I totally forgot they had added a race to the weekend. So that might change where the bag pick up is located. You can ask at the Bib pick up if they know where it will be but it would be very very odd if they didn't have one. I saw quite a few people who changed after the race and remember people doing the same post the 1st ToT race.

Good luck!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
