Ok, I am a NOT (sorry for leaving out this word before) thrill rider. I did Space Mountain when I was a teen, and swore never again. I do however ride Splash (yes I hate that one splash, but it is worth for the ride). My kids got me on BTMRR, and that isn't too bad. I also like Test Track.

So, tell me about EE! How does it compare to BTMRR or the other rides. I need to know if I should do it or not!

Thanks.

I love EE! It is absolutely amazing! I feel that it is about the same as BTMRR and Splash in terms of wildness. The ride is very smooth for EE. It does feel a little strange going backwards, but the forward drop is not bad at all.

There are no loops on EE. I got this from another poster when I had alot of questions about EE too. Go to www.youtube.com and enter expedition everest on the top. It'll show you a full ride video so you can get a full idea.

That was sweet!! i got chills watching it! it waslike being on the ride all over again!!!!!!! Thanks!

My wife has asked, "For someone who doesn't overlike rollercoasters - for speed and fear mainly", Would she like it?

She can handle 'Thunder Mountain' without too many problems - and loves that to bits.

I think if she can handle Big Thunder Mountain, she'll be fine on Everest. I dont' like huge drops, or being shook roughly on rides. I loved every coaster I did at WDW (Everest included)

HOW ARE YOU STRAPPED IN??? (oops sorry didnt mean to yell) but um...how are you strapped in? Did you feel secure like you do in Mission Space?

I've watched several videos of the ride, but I can never tell what happens in the dark!? :confused3 Do you go down a hill or around a curve or what? What I'd also like to know is how many hills are there? Is there only the one drop that you see outside or are there some inside the mountain? I'm a HUGE chicken of drops (I've never ridden Splash Mountain because I think I would have a heart attack  :lmao: ), the "wildest" rollercoaster that I will do is BTMR. :teeth: Any more info?

I'm not a fan of big drops either (no RnR or ToT)... EE tested my limits, but it is a great ride!

To me, it looks worse than it is. You can see the big drop when you walk up, and it looks intimidating, but the ride is VERY smooth and the drop goes very quickly. Part of what makes classic coasters unenjoyable for me is that click-click-click part just before the first drop - the anticipation.
Without giving away too much (hopefully): EE doesn't start like that, and the uphill part is steep but smooth. Psychologicaly, I find Splash worse, because they play all that cute music and it's so mellow when you know a big drop is coming. EE has a certain intensity all the way through, so you're distracted.

The dark part is the most intense, followed by the uphill part (after the forward drop). The ride that comes closest to EE is the Mummy at Universal.

BTMRR is probably my favorite ride at WDW - has drops, but well within my limits. I also ride Space Mountain (EE is more intense, but a LOT smoother - so it would depend on WHY you don't like Space Mountain. SM knocks you around in your car quite a bit. ) I did Mission:Space twice, but I don't really care to go on the original version again.

I didn't think the drops were too bad (and the view at the big climb is incredible, worth the whole ride!!!!). But the backward part did make me feel discombulated for a bit. It goes backward in the dark and feels like it makes a few sharp curves. Weird feeling.

I love BTMRR, Splash and Space - and Test Track is my favorite ride! I enjoyed EE, but once or twice per trip is plenty for me.

I rode it yesterday. I got a fastpass and I rode it twice back to back. However, I would not suggest that. If I knew differently, I would have waited some time befdore riding it a second time.

The ride is so smooth and I love it. I have my hands up in the picture I purchased! :thumbsup2 Just dont do it back to back without a break!

Well the view is great? I won't be looking LOL. G-d I hate heights. Went on the ferris wheel with the kids and MIL at 6 flags, oh, I kept looking at my map! I am such a chicken, and proud of it!!! :)

I think I will give it a try!!

My wife and I don't ride BTMR, but we both loved EE. It is fast, but smooth. Enjoy!

Great!!!

My wife isn't really such a wimp at riding rollercoasters - she managed to get on the 'Indian Jones & The Temple of Doom' ride at Euro Disney and that went backwards with an added loop in the middle.

Now that I have seen some of the videos at YouTube, I think I will watch them everyday for the next 15 months..by that time maybe I will get the nerve up. Actually doesn't look bad, actually I may do better backwards in the dark than forward (SM was a baaaad ride for me). Plus I now know the ride is not complete inside like SM, which I thought it was.
