Expedition: Everest Preview?

Does anyone know if Expedition: Everest will be in its preview stages in December? I'm going to THE WORLD December 10th-17th and it would be great to experience it then, especially since I don't know when I'll get to go back to THE WORLD.

there was thread a while back and it looked pretty unfinished still..thought it was later in 06 for the opening...do a search though for that thread as it had a really fun virtual everst link so you could see what the track was like

I think a target date for opening was April 22nd..which happens to be Earth Day, and also the anniversary of AK itself. Previews are of course going to happen, but not sure when. There was a rumor about 6 months ago that they were well ahead of schedule, but I think that was wishful thinking. They have been running test cars around the track, to get heights right, so that might make people think it's close to being done. I would think Feb at the earliest for previews, but you never know!!

I'd say highly unlikely. They do not even have an official opening date (the April 22 date has been rumored on mouseplanet.com for some time now, but Disney has not confirmed it).

There is no way of knowing at this time. I suggest you keep reading these boards. Before Mission: Space was "officially" opened I read about Disney opening the ride in the evenings for their "soft" opening. We happened to be at WDW during the soft openings and using the info from the DIS my DS and I were able to ride every night.
You might get lucky with Everest.

I wouldn't expect any sort of public anything until at least February.

I am in the opposite camp. I am pregnant and we are going in December, so I hope it isn't open then yet for soft openings since I can't ride. It would KILL me if my DH could ride and I couldn't. From all I have seen and heard though, it doesn't look like it will be even close though to a soft opening for at least another few months, so I think the February projections look accurate.
