I am registered for the Expedition Everest Challenge as an individual but my mom is tempted to join me and form a team. However, she can't arrive in WDW until late on Friday. Our question is whether both team members need to be go to packet pickup or can just one pick up for the team? If both have to go, does it have to be at the same time, or can it be on different days? Or, if only one person on the team needs to be there, do you need to provide copies of ID or anything for the other team member?

If anyone has done this, help would be greatly appreciated. Mom ran the 5K at marathon weekend in 2010, so we know the general idea, but the team piece of this event changes things. If I can't pick up for both of us, she may not be able to join me, so any answers would really help. Thanks!

You probably don't both need to be there, but it can't hurt to have a copy of your mom's id and a note from her asking them to let her pick up for you. I picked up 9 goodie bags marathon weekend (mine for the 5k and the Goofy, my parents' ChEar squad gear, the ChEar squad gear I bought for my 4 nieces and nephews, and my friend's Goofy gear) and had no trouble at all.

Anyone else able to do this?

Here is the information from the FAQ on the event website. HTH :thumbsup2

Do I need to bring anything with me to Packet Pick-up? You MUST bring your Photo ID with you to Packet Pick-up. If you have your receipt and/or registration confirmation email from Active.com, we recommend that you bring that with you as well.

What are the Packet Pick-up locations and times? Packet Pick-up will take place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Friday, June 11 from 11am – 7pm and Saturday, June 12 from 10am –3pm.

Do both team members have to go to Packet Pick-up? We prefer that both teammates attend Packet Pick-up. If, however, a teammate cannot attend, the teammate picking up the packet must provide us with a copy of the teammate's ID and a completed Packet Pick-Up Authorization Form (please see questions below).

What if I can't make it to Packet Pick-up? Can someone else pick up my packet for me? For someone else to pick up your packet, you will need to provide them with the following documents:

Copy of your Photo ID
Signed Waiver
Completed Packet Pick-Up Authorization form (authorization form will be available at www.disneyeverestchallenge.com under the Registration tab a few weeks before the event).
All 3 items MUST be provided. No exceptions will be made. Your representative must also provide a valid photo ID when picking up your items.

How do I print my waiver? The event waiver will be posted online at www.disneyeverestchallenge.com a few weeks before the event.
