How bad is the final drop? Is that the only "big" drop on this? What can it be compared too? Thanks........ :wizard:

I've been on EE, and I know the answer, but I think that you should just try it and find out for yourself...what's the fun in knowing? ;)

The drop you see from the outside (with the train travelling forwards) is not too bad - it's the backwards drop inside the mountain that really gets you. It's in the dark and you have no idea where you are going. That said, the entire ride is less intense that Rock 'N Roller Coaster, and just a notch above the mountains at MK - it was awsome!!!

Wow! A drop while you are going backwards? My stomach dropped just a bit while reading. I can't wait!

We are not big rollercoaster drop fans and we didn't have a problem with EE. We loved the ride and are looking forward to being able to ride it again.

The ride is intense. The backwards portion especially. It is nothing like BTMR. We rode it 6 times while we were there over spring break. :thumbsup2

Found these on the web

So we have 2 things in common! I'll be there Sept. 8th to 14th, AND I'm scared to death to get on this. What I'm going to do is NOT look at the drop before I get on so I dont chicken out.

Coming from a child growing up at Cedar Point and a Millennium Force extrodanire (yeah I can't spell can I ;) ) that 80ft drop will be nothing compared to the 310ft, 182ft and 169ft drops that has to offer. But none the less I am ready and excited about EE! Bring it! <-- first time using that phrase since my beloved wings were eliminated :(

We are going over Memorial Day and my DS9 wanted to know how the coaster was- compared to the others at WDW. He has done (and loved ) them all, but needs a comparison to psych himself to go on it. Thanks for all the descriptions so far; any other parts of the ride that might need a heads-up, please feel free to share. Spoilers very much appreciated :) .

tell how is the drop compared to Splash Mountain drop??? thanks
It's much worse than Splash Mountain. I love Splash Mountain, but EE was way too intense for me. After experiencing it, I didn't dare try any other rides that day in AK. I guess I'm a certified EE wimp.

I personally didn't think the drop was that terrible, I rode EE and then SM and realized that SM made me feel worse than EE. Which is funny because i've never felt sick on SM. The drop gets over quickly, as far as it being the final drop its not. Thats actually where the ride starts to move faster, and then there is one more small drop (wasn't expecting that drop.)
As for the drop backwards, its more of a spiral not anything like the outside drop, and if you didnt know this happens before the big drop.
This is my opinion, you'd really have to ride. If you can take sm's drop then you could probably ride it.

I have to agree with above post, its much more intense than sm. However, the drop isn't IMO.
