Expedition Everest Challenge!

So my DP and I are about to head out the door to go run the Expedition Everest Challenge! Anyone else going to be there????? Should be a great night for a race!

So we finished the race in 1 HR 13 min. The 5k portion took us 34 min. We got caught up on one clue in the scavenger hunt portion but still finished in the middle of the pack for the men's teams. Not too bad for our first 5k! I absolutely loved it! One of the most fun things I have done at Disney. I'm now going to train for the 1/2 marathon in January!

DD and I were there. Sorry I didn't see your post before Sat. Fun race. Fun night. Great weather. It was the first time I'd run a 5K, and our times were pretty good for first timers. Depending on how well I can improve, maybe there will be a 1/2 marathon in my future.

We ended up in the top 33% in the mother/daughter team finishing in 1:10:42. We had the 9th best time in our group for the scavenger hunt thanks to dd great skill at decifering the clues.

I've always thought that race looked fun...maybe someday I'll be able to do it.

I didn't see your post until now either. This was my first year running in this event and coicidently my first 5k. We got stuck on one of our clues also, probably the same one you did (KWAYJ), we finished the race in 1:07:58. I am definately doing this again next year.
