Expedition Everest Challenge - park ticket?

I read somewhere that you get a ticket to Animal Kingdom with your sign up for Expedition Everest Challenge. I guess the reasoning was it would allow you to check out the park for the scavenger hunt.

anyone know if this is still the case?

According to the info on the RunDisney web site.....

"Each participant in the Expedition Everest™ Challenge will receive:
Champion® Race Tech Shirt
Personalized race bib (register before April 3, 2011)
ChronoTrack D-Tag
Expedition Everest™ Challenge Finisher medal
Post-race refreshments
Goody bag
Admission to an exclusive post-race party at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park"


No mention of a park ticket, and certainly not indicated by the race price.

Yes, I did see that when I signed up, but it seems someone on here said they got a park ticket, too- for the purpose of getting to know the park for the scavenger hunt.

It is not big deal, I've got an annual pass but my teammate doesn't. She was just trying to figure out how many park tickets to buy.

In previous years a one day park ticket was included, but not this year. I actually think it's more attractive for annual pass holders this way.

WOW we paid $219 as a team last year with a park ticket.These prices are getting out of control.I love Disney but they need to be reeled in somehow-I know people are willing to pay so why would they.

Does anyone know what exactally happens at the post race party? I know there are attractions open, but what else happens???

There are attractions open and some restaurants and snack bars. There's also a dance party area with a DJ. Last year I noticed some characters like Goofy and Baloo were out on the dance floor so it was fun to watch them interact with the crowd.
