Wow! $105 for a 5K ... The medal last year was pretty cool but that's a pricey race...

Its a fun race and its at least a 10k with the scavenger hunt. Plus it includes a one day ticket which was nice for us, since we don't have annual passes. I would do it again, but I already signed up for Chicago which is going to be VERY expensive before I even get there.

I liked this race. It was WAY more fun than a regular race. If I do it again, I will go with a few other couples and compete among ourselves.

The other advantage is that you get the whole park after the race. You could jump on and off the rides with no waiting. Of course, there are only 3 or 4 rides worth riding, but still....

so...if 2 people pay to race, etc. and one person already has an AP...can you let your friend use both tickets?

Well the ticket inclusion means I won't bother. I have an AP I don't need the Ticket.

Approximately $32 a mile! Too rich for my blood!

I really want to do this with DH, but we are AP holders and it seems like a big waste. I wish the fee was lower with the option of discounted tickets.

Me and DH did this race last year and it was so much fun. We probably will do it again this year.

It would be entirely possible to sell the one day ticket if they are the same tickets as last year. however, they are not park hoppers and were only good at AK or Epcot. And its not $32 a mile its more like $15 - you have to run the course twice: once on the 5k run and then again as part of the scavenger hunt.

Dh does several adventure races a year and this one is not out of line price wise, throw in the park ticket and its almost a bargain.

Okay Cruella, You've sold me. :rotfl: Dh said he would do this with me, then 'forgot' he said he would, but I'm holding him to it. :rotfl:
If I could sell the tickets, that would be a bonus.

As long as my DD's grades stay up at this report card. I'll be there nad we'll be speed walking this. It is expensive for a 5k but I know it will be fun and last years medal was so cool looking !! I am looking forward to the obstacle course and scavenger hunt the most.

If I will be only pseed walking, can I wear regular clothes?

THe hard part on 'selling' the tickets is that they expire in 14 days or so. So you better have your customer lined up at the expo.

Plus technically that's against Disney's rules. So they have set this up so I have to violate thier rules or pay for something I don't need. Still a no go!

Actually, this year the page says that they don't expire until December 31st 2009.

I am in for this year's race.
DH and I have been waiting for reg to open. We will register next month or so, we just got back from a Disney Cruise and our wallets are still screaming :lmao:

Really it is an awesome race, it was my very first one and I had a blast, if you can swing it I'd recommend it. I am trying to get to the finish line in 1hr 15 min this time around.

I haven't officially registered yet. But I probably will. It sounds like it's a lot of fun.

Hmm, okay, so I will be signing up for this (forcing DH into it),so we will have 2 passes that we don't need (we're AP holders). I wish they would offer a discount for AP holders, but they dont'/won't, so if anyone's interested in two 1 day passes, pm me.

My DH and I are thinking about joining this race. We've been making excuses to get in shape, and what better way than by involving anything Disney! This run sounds like a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to it already (even though we haven't registered yet).

My questions to anyone out there is:

1. is the team registration per person, or per couple?

2. Any tips on training for total couch potato's? :happytv:

Thanks! :thanks:
