Expedia deals

Hi,
We are getting close to booking our first "Disney" trip and have switched gears from driving to flying. Even though we are trying to do this trip on a tight budget, we saw some great fares from Southwest Airlines and it convinced us! Question for the experienced ones? Is it better to book air, hotel, car rental, hopper passes separately, shopping around for the best prices or has anyone done well with an Expedia package on line which includes everything? This is all making me crazy. Oh and by the way we are staying outside due to the fact that we need a suite type setup and can get more for our $ with that. So the Fairy tale package is not for us. Thanks for your help!

We used Expedia for our trip last Sept--booked a package: room and Ultimate park hoppers. We got 40 to 45% off our room rates. I do often see OKW and some of the other dvc resorts on there. You might want to check the price since they have 1 and 2 bedroom villas. We were looking to book to 2 rooms at CBR but we found a really good deal for YC concierge rooms for just $200 to $300 more for the enite trip. Since we are a family of 6 (2 were under 3) it worked out great. We ended up only buying 1 meal day which was when we were out in the parks.
We did not book our airfare through them--we booked through SWA directly.

I have never been able to find disney resorts on expedia---is there a special way to "search" or is it just rare that disney resorts would be available through expedia---any "helpful hints" would be great---

Click on hotels and it will ask you what city. Click Orlando and add your dates. A page should pop up that says about the middle of the page Disney resorts--it will hve all listed. click on that and it will show you prices. It is resort and Ult park hoppers.
