Expedia Booking issue

Anyone ever use Expedia to book a non Disney vacation package? I am going crazy! I've been trying to book a package to Maui/Hawaii (flight/hotel/car) for the past week. The per person package price keeps changing on me. One day it's higher $1200, next day might be lower $951, high for a few days $1200, then low for a couple of hours $951. When I tried to book at the low price today I got a repricing to the higher price. Is there any rhyme or reason or schedule to the price changes?

I think that they post the best price that they can find at any given time and that changes constantly based on what the hotels and so on offer. I've found good deals on the site and then gone back later to find them gone.

I have booked many vacation packages through Expedia (Las Vegas, New Orleans, Maui) and have always been very pleased with their service.

I would recommend that if you anticipate ANY changes to your trip after booking, that you purchase their trip insurance. When we ended up making changes to our return flights from Maui, the insurance completely covered the airline change fees and they were very easy to work with.

Sometimes, their prices just can't be beat!
